During this course, you will learn the basic fundamentals of Word 2010, Access 2010, Excel 2010 and PowerPoint 2010. Course objectives are described in the links below. While learning course objectives, you will be exposed to practical examples of how to use content in your daily life. You will learn proper procedures to create documents, worksheets, and databases suitable for coursework, professional purposes, and personal use. You will also develop an exercise-oriented approach that allows learning by doing to encourage independent study.

Mastering all course objectives will allow you to earn DMACC credit. No credit will be awarded if you fail to meet any of the course objectives outlined. Computer Applications ll is a fast paced independent course. Your instructor is available to help with questions as you work through your assignments.
Financial Literacy
The East High School Financial Literacy course is taught in conjunction with a 9 week health course. Course objectives are those identified in the Iowa Core - 21st Century skills. Topics include savings, banking, credit scores, investing, taxes, financing higher education and more. Students are required to test proficient in each module and demonstrate understanding of all course objectives before moving on.
